A thought on a strange disease

February 4, 2018

Helicobacter Pylori (HP) is a bacteria staying in human’s upper stomach which is infectious and causes digestive diseases, even the stomach cancer. It is reported that about 4.4bn people in the world (more than half of the total world’s population) have contracted the HP bacteria and the situation gets worse in the developing countries because of their dieting habits (such as picking up food by chopsticks while sharing the dishes, etc) as well as food safety issues.

I just thought if this type of bacteria became so annoying and widespread, would it be possible to develop a vaccination method to avoid it at all? The advances of medical science have made many horrible diseases vanish altogether or kept them under control, it’d be great if a vaccine would be developed as well for good.
